ABC was formed in 1980 as part of the New Romantic movement of the time, which included bands such as Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and The Human League. The band had three Top 10 hits during 1982: the singles "Poison Arrow", "The Look of Love" and "All Of My Heart."

The London-based new wave group Wang Chung was originally called Huang Chung. By the time they recorded 1984's Points on a Curve, the band had changed their name to Wang Chung. The band hit the Top 40 twice in America -- "Don't Let Go" made it to number 36, while "Dance Hall Days" reached number 16. "To Live and Die in L.A.," the theme song from William Friedken's thriller, just missed making the Top 40 in 1985.

New Wave and electronic pop rock band Missing Persons was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles. In 1980 the band made its first record, a 4-song EP entitled Missing Persons, appeared in the movie Lunch Wagon, and became a must-see band among the Los Angeles live music crowd. In 1982, with the support of Capitol Records, the re-released EP sold 250,000 units, Their follow-up album, Spring Session M, went gold and featured the singles "Mental Hopscotch", "Destination Unknown," and "Words”.

Cutting Crew , originally formed in 1985 will always be remembered for their classic multimillion play songs “(I Just) Died in Your Arms” and “I’ve Been in Love Before”. Twenty two years later, with countless international radio plays to his name, original singer and writer, Nick van Eede,has signed brand new recording and publishing deals for Europe and the U.S.A. and he is finally back on the road promoting his brilliant new album, “Grinning Souls”
