In 1995, George won an American Comedy Award as ”Best Stand Up Comedian,” after having been nominated four years in a row: 1991-1994. He had his own HBO special, “One Night Stand,” and has appeared in several motion pictures, including “A Rage In Harlem” “Punchline” “Bert Rigby, You're A Fool” “Hot To Trot” “Things Are Tough All Over” “Postcards From The Edge” and “Batman.”
George's television credits include “In The Heat of the Night” and “Tall Hope.” He guest-starred on NBC's “Fresh Prince of Bel Air.” His other television credits include appearances on “The Tonight Show” “The Arsenio Hall Show” “Oprah Winfrey” “Late Night with David-Letterman" “Sunday Comics” “E! Entertainment” and “Extra!” George also portrayed boxing impresario Don King in the NBC Special, “TV OR NOT TV.”
George Wallace regularly performs in Las Vegas, appearing at The Comedy Store, Budd Friedman's Improvisation, Catch a Rising Star, and The Punchline. He sell out comedy appearances around the country. George derives his comedy from everyday moments of life, finding humor everywhere he turns - from the media to relationships to dialogue cliches. At all costs, he avoids standard opening lines and is known to be an ace where readying an audience is concerned, playing with them throughout traps and tricks. Among his peers George is known as “the guy who can roll the room over if it's dead.” George looks forward to more acting roles in film and television. Yet, most important to him is having fun with comedy. “There is no sex or drug that makes you feel as good as being funny onstage. Nothing is better than comedy. I'd do it for free.... Well...”
